Hello, my name is DruAnn Hill, and I prefer to be called Dru.
I am a training instructor within the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. I specialize in the design, development, delivery, and management of training courses for employees across the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, watching movies, and trying to perfect my driving skills.
Educational Philosophy
I believe that we never stop learning throughout our lives, but as adults, we have different reasons for participating in formal training and education programs - some personal, some professional. In addition to these reasons, every adult learner comes from different backgrounds with varying degrees of knowledge and experiences. As an adult educator and trainer, I need to be flexible and willing to adapt my training programs for adult learners to ensure learning is meaningful for all. My role is not a lecturer, but a coach, a mentor, a facilitator, and even a learner myself.
Professional Goals
My professional learning goals include obtaining a Masters Degree in Learning, Design, and Technology in order to lead my organization’s efforts to expand the use of technology in its training programs.
